This is one of those things my hubby bought before we got married. We have only used this once. It is for making coffee. It just stays in the shelf in the box, I would have thrown it long ago but then hubby is like you know I paid so much for this years , years and years ago :-) So it just sits there getting dusty.
I am sure all of you know what this is. A murukku presser, idiyappom presser etc........ I think most of us have one of these, I only had this recently, when my sister came to visit us, she brought one from India.
Oh yes this is something I use twice a year. I make Escargot twice a year for hubby, inlaws etc...... funny thing is I don't eat them, but I make them and just watch them enjoying it. They all are crazy for this dish.
Edited after few comments. These are not appom pans, they are use to make the famous french dish Escargot ( Snails in garlic butter) I hear everybody saying yak) :-))))
This is the mould to make achappam a traditional Kerela snack made with rice flour, coconut mil eggs etc.If you want to see how the achappam looks just visit Aparna's My Diverse Kitchen
I would have thought as it is a no cooking event, that I would have been fast in posting for the event. I have been thinking of doing it, but each time something else come up. And i just rememberd when i saw in a another blog a post about this event , that i still have not send anything.
So fast i looked around in the kitchen and took few snaps .
I think one has so much treasured things in the kitchen that we will need more than few posts to write about them.

Lot of noise at home, workers are banging away at the the wood strips to install, got a headache already.
I have been watching You Tube bits about Sandeep UnniKrishnan, am so sad for his mom and dad. He was their only child.
I can't believe the audacity of Kerala CM to say such things when they just lost their only son, unbelievable how cruel some people can be!
