As always weekend just go so fast. It is funny how one try to do so much things in a weekend, it is like if you don't do all these things in the weekend it will never be done, which I think is not true. But still every weekend it is like that here.
One thing how much I try hard never seems to finish is my Ironing.
I just hate ( well if my daughter says that she hates something, we tell her don't use the word hate, use dislike) well i canot use the word dislike for ironing, i just truly hate the ironing.
Saturday my daughter had a concert and she needed her black shirt which she use only for performance.
I remember after the last concert washing and ironing her shirt and giving it to her. Two hours before the time to leave she looked for her shirt and she coudn't find in her shelf.
And me most of the mothers do ,started grumbling.
She looked in her room no way it had disapeared.
I am still grumbling as I don't want to open up the part of the closet which I try to forget about , that is the place were I dump all my washed clothes saying I have to iron,
In the end I opend up that part and literally clothes fall on to me shouting Iron me Iron me.
I search inbetween then mess, Twice for the missing black shirt, not there.
Then I went to daughters room and looked in her closet , and what do I find in a corner the BLACK Shirt.
I have made buns with chocolate and now I used the same recipe , but instead of using chocolate i used raisins.
You can find the recipe for the basic bread for sweet breads here and how to make the raisin buns here in the chocolate buns just use the same recipe and use raisins instead of the chocolate pieces. You will see the step by step pic too.
Sending this to Tangerine's Kitchen as she is hosting this Months which is a event started by Zorra, so bake some sweet buns and send it to Rachel.
You iron her clothes? Wow. I hate ironing and one of the first few things I told R was to not expect me to iron his clothes, coz I hate that chore
ReplyDeleteShankari, yeah i iron her clothes and hubbies, i am th eone who does that here even if i hate them doing :-) Why didn't i tell my hubby the same thing when i got married :-)

ReplyDeleteI made the chocolate buns and so I know how good this is...Thanks for sending these for the event.
Imagine me ironing for five adults!! Believe me it's a nightmare everytime I have to iron :)
ReplyDeleteYour buns sound wonderful. I was thinking of making them yesterday and last minute changed my mind and made something different.
I hate ironing too and I don't. My daughters are still small so no ironing needed for her's. The hubby's I delegate to the laundry.
ReplyDeleteIn my case I do it so bad that no one would even ask me to iron anyway ;-)
hehe....what a nice write up.....I dont hate ironing, but i have the ' starting trouble'.Once i start ironing i can iron for sometime....but to start ironing it takes another sometime...lol....I guess i too hate ironing and iam just doing it cos i have to DO it....
ReplyDeleteNice recipe though...
I forgot to comment abt the raisin buns.. i have been dreaming of sweet breads for a while now.. I am bookmarking yours to try - hopefully very soon.
ReplyDeleteWhenever I could not find a particular item of clothing, my mom would always grumble but come by inspite of being super busy in the mornings amidst all the cooking and help me look for it and lo and behold she would find it immediately in the very same place I had been turning upside down searching for it! :) This reminded me of it.
ReplyDeleteI hate ironing and thankfully I suck at it so my husband knows never to ask me to iron his clothes. Hopefully I won't have to do it for my kids as well :D
yum these buns look so good. I have a soft spot for raisin buns. At least you found the black shirt. I hate ironing too :(

Delicious buns...
I hate ironing too but luckily we have a laundry guy here who does our ironing.Once in a week he comes home and I pile up the washed clothes and he returns a neat bundle..:)
ReplyDeleteI want to bake buns too..:)
wow..lovely buns..I love these kind of fruit buns..:)
ReplyDeleteIroning tops my list of hated chores. The number of times I've ironed can be counted on my fingers and that's only been 'coz there's been no other option. Luckily for me, we have plenty of iron-wallahs here.
ReplyDeleteIroning is mostly definitely a chore I try and avoid as much as possible:-)
ReplyDeleteThe raisin buns look awesome !
Oh yes, I hate ironing too. How I miss our dear dhobi in Hyderabad ;-)
ReplyDeleteRaisin buns look perfect!
It happens a zillion times in our life time when people in our family tell us they cannot find something. Looks like as soon as we become a mother we are provided with a 20/20 vision and can find anything which they could have if they looked without freaking out. I don't blame you when you use the word hate.I tell my daughter the same thing but then we are adults and we know where to use it right. Very nice raisin bread. Thanks for sharing. Nice blogging.
ReplyDeletenice post...I too hate ironing, luckily I got maid who does it now...Raisin buns looks delicious and yumm...!!
ReplyDeleteMy hb also complains to me that ironing is the household chore he hates the most! Hope those raisin buns were therapeutic enough.
ReplyDeleteI hate ironing and will not do it unless i REALLY need to.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous buns.. love raisin and bread together.
Pssst - if you just give the clothes a good shake right out of the dryer when they are still warm, maybe you can get away without IRONING them ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love fruit buns....
I always amazed abt ur bread baking..I have already bookmarked it..Too sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteI dislike ironing too :) My husband does the job :) Buns look so professional with all those raisins in there!
ReplyDeleteI have no problem in Ironing but always have a starting trouble ;) But once started I iron for 2-3 hours....
ReplyDeleteLovely Raisin Buns!!!
These buns look amazing... I discovered a box of Sunmaid raisins... and had to save them from ants... I think I shall make these soon.
ReplyDeleteI hate ironing! Its easier to go out and buy something than bother ironing it :)
